you’re a business owner. the numbers should add up.
You’ve watched a settlement come in lighter than the percentage you were quoted — and never gotten a straight answer about why. You’ve sat at a dock for four hours unpaid because “that’s just how it goes.” You’ve deadheaded two hundred empty miles to reach a load that barely covers the fuel to get there.
You own the truck. You carry part of the risk. You should see exactly where every dollar goes — before you sign anything, not after your first settlement confuses you.
That’s the whole reason this page exists. Not to talk you into anything — to show you the actual freight model and let you decide if it pencils out for your business.
How owner-operators actually get paid here
Your Business. Our Freight Volume.
No games with the percentage. No surprise line items buried in a settlement. Here’s exactly what partnering with Bellavance looks like.
Our goal is simple: help you run a successful business with the freight, support, and resources behind you — while still treating you like a person, not just another truck in the fleet.
Know what the load pays before you haul it.
More predictable freight. Fewer empty miles.
You’re running a business. We back it like one.
In Their Own Words
“I don’t have any complaints about the revenue. They’re keeping me busy, and that’s what it’s all about. The people that I work with are very easy to get along with and are professional. What they agree to is what they do. It’s very much like a family. Everybody knows everybody, and we all seem to get along.”
— Robert, Owner-Operator
What owner-operators can actually earn
Curious What You’d Actually Take Home?
Pay varies by lane, equipment, and hours run — we’d rather walk you through real numbers for your specific situation than post a generic average. Reach out and we’ll give you the straight answer.
Ask About PayNo surprises. See it before you sign.
Here’s Exactly What Comes Out Of Your Settlement.
We’d rather show you both sides, up front, before you ever haul a load for us.
That’s the full list. Nothing else comes out of your settlement without you seeing it in writing first. If you’d like the actual deduction amounts, reach out and we’ll provide them to you.
Before you apply
What It Takes To Run With Us.
Van/reefer requires low-profile tires and a low-profile fifth wheel with a max height of 48 inches. Flatbed has no additional equipment spec requirements.
Non-trucking liability insurance is required, with a specific combined single limit. Physical damage coverage is optional since you own your truck outright.
Vermont doesn’t allow non-residents to register a truck here. Bellavance can provide a lease agreement to help you register in your home state.
Your truck will need a DOT inspection at one of our shops before you’re approved to run.
